The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because of the food. Swedish pancakes were amazing and I feel like the place is dedinitely kid friendly and cheap.
I had breakfast at Tom's Pancake House. Good service and nice employees to help you. Food was delicious and plentiful. I will be there again when I get over on the west side again.
Love going there for breakfast, brunch, lunch or dinner. Warm crew of workers! Never a bad experience and a really in-depth menu. Has a generally regular American meal selection, with a few great surprises. But there's something for everyone and every age!
Otherwise, the service was kind of odd. Our server was constantly going back and forth, I understand, and she just set down our food and tried to leave without us getting ketchup or syrup or anything. We stopped her and asked for it and she looked surprised. So she gave it to us shortly after.
Notes: The chocolate chip pancakes had very little chips from when we weren't there last. I feel like they were rushing my family to eat and get out.
As we were finishing a man, who clearly did not speak that well of English, tried to pour us brand new classes of water, coffee etc. My mother said "no, thanks. We are fine." but the man continued persisting to fill her coffee. It took everything in her not to curse is Spanish, so she just firmly said "no" 3 times before the man left.
I have been coming here for years now. The staff is great, prices are best in town and the food is always fresh, hot, and filling. They are always busy so expect a wait but it shows how good their food is and how great their service and reputation is.
Worst phone experience ever.... I got places on hold for 10 minutes and forgot about. Called back and was greeted with an extremely aloof gentleman whom seemed so dis interested in his job and would rather be anywhere but there.. I have him order which was for 4 and a few side. Upon requesting the side he seemed beyond slighted that I would of even asked for such a request. After about 10 more minutes of trying to correct the order I have given. I finally got so fed up i hung up. Ridiculous. I understand being busy and even having a bad day but this was just bad service..
